Donna Vinegar
Donna Vinegar has been a PBC member since 2012. Born and raised in Chicago, she grew up going to our sister church, Salem Baptist Church of Chicago, where she participated in children’s ministry and found God at 8-years-old.
“I just remember being in the basement crying, watching this movie - Woman thou art loosed- and made the decision to live for christ.” - Donna Vinegar
After leaving the city for college, attending the University of Maryland College Park, Vinegar came back home and found herself attending Progressive Baptist Church, after hearing Pastor Charlie Dates and a few others were now serving there. Donna came to progressive dating her now husband, Jurl Vinegar III. While he became a deacon, she participated in the new member’s ministry starting out, a brief counseling ministry, and was a growth group leader … all while expanding her beautiful family.
Donna has 6 -year- old Eleanor Vinegar, 5-year-old Jurl Vinegar IV, 3-year-old Elliott Vinegar, and now baby June Vinegar, all (but June) active members of PBC kids.

“Made the decision to seriously follow christ after watching Woman Art Thou Loosed, while still in the children's ministry”
“I truly believe Progressive is a great church. I joined because the leadership and the word of God were solid. When I came here, I knew I was hearing from someone that was a true vessel God was using and speaking clearly through.” - Donna Vinegar
