WHAT IS A VOLUNTEER? A believer who freely serves and who recognizes they have a joyful obligation to serve others in whatever manner they are capable (or gifted). Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works." By using your gifts to serve, you can bless others, grow in faith, and experience the joy of being part of God's work.

We believe that the best way to serve the church is to belong to the church you serve. This is why we require membership for service in most of our ministries. However, if you are not a member, there is still opportunities to serve in our church choir, parking, and special event needs.

Yes, you may serve in more than one ministry. However, we ask that you make sure there are no scheduling conflicts that would interfere with your commitments on either team.

At Progressive Chicago we are always eager to train up the next generation. Youth are encouraged to serve. Please speak with your ministry leader to learn available roles within your ministry for the to serve.
