Volunteer Expectations
Personal Integrity

Excellence
Serve with excellence, recognizing that my service is an act of worship. ( Col 3:23) I will commit to giving my full effort to the tasks at hand to graciously challenge by my example those around me to do the same (Eph 4:1)
Availability
I will commit to give my time, energy, and insight to the work of the ministry in the course of genuine need (Colossians 3:23). Being present, on time, prepared, and focused for all quarterly leadership meetings and ministry opportunities, as possible.
Accountability
I recognize that I am accountable for my words and actions before Jesus, scripture, Church leadership, and my ministry team. I will strive to keep my word, make deadlines set when applicable, receive feedback and correction in love, and follow the policies and procedures as outlined for me.
Unity
Work cooperatively with colleagues, support and learn from each other. Accept differences in style. Back each other up. Do not tolerate gossip of any kind.
Humility
I realize that the Biblical pattern of leadership is by example. I will strive to be of a humble spirit, speaking in patience and love, following the example of Jesus. I will never ask of others what I am unwilling to do myself.
Openness
I bring a teachable spirit into my position. I understand I may not agree with all decisions or assignments given to me, but I will do my best to maintain an attitude of trust. I promise to strive to be open with my leaders and teammates about my hurts and joys.
Confidentiality
I promise to keep sensitive matters that have been entrusted to me within the confines of confidentiality.
Intentionality
I will look to serve people and not just complete a task. I will see my service as a form of discipleship and will aim to grow and develop in my field.
Prayer
Recognizing that prayer is key to unlocking ministry potential (Colossians 4:2-4), I commit to pray for the ministry of our church and those we are serving. I will pray for the leadership and my teammates, coveting their prayers in return, that we may be mutually built up (James 5:16).
